--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2007-0743
2007-06-28 06:18:09.396125
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : keepassx
Product : Fedora 7
Version : 0.2.2
Release : 2.fc7
Summary : Cross-platform password manager
Description :
KeePassX is an application for people with extremly high demands on secure
personal data management.
KeePassX saves many different information e.g. user names, passwords, urls,
attachemts and comments in one single database. For a better management
user-defined titles and icons can be specified for each single entry.
Furthermore the entries are sorted in groups, which are customizable as well.
The integrated search function allows to search in a single group or the
complete database.
KeePassX offers a little utility for secure password generation. The password
generator is very customizable, fast and easy to use. Especially someone who
generates passwords frequently will appreciate this feature.
The complete database is always encrypted either with AES (alias Rijndael) or
Twofish encryption algorithm using a 256 bit key. Therefore the saved
information can be considered as quite safe. KeePassX uses a database format
that is compatible with KeePass Password Safe for MS Windows.

Any news on this side? Any way to contribute debugging? Is this problem the
same for i386 or is it an x86_64 specific one?
Any bug numbers already opened to fill with further information?

Fedora Core 6 Test Update: glibc-2.5-17.fc6
by Jakub Jelinek
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2007-478
2007-06-27
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Product : Fedora Core 6
Name : glibc
Version : 2.5
Release : 17.fc6
Summary : The GNU libc libraries.
Description :
The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by
multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and
memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is
kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package
contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C
library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a
Linux system will not function.

[SECURITY] Fedora Core 5 Test Update: httpd-2.2.2-1.3
by Joe Orton
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2007-617
2007-06-27
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Product : Fedora Core 5
Name : httpd
Version : 2.2.2
Release : 1.3
Summary : Apache HTTP Server
Description :
The Apache HTTP Server is a powerful, efficient, and extensible
web server.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
The Apache HTTP Server did not verify that a process was an
Apache child process before sending it signals. A local
attacker with the ability to run scripts on the Apache HTTP
Server could manipulate the scoreboard and cause arbitrary
processes to be terminated which could lead to a denial of
service (CVE-2007-3304). This issue is not exploitable on
Fedora if using the default SELinux targeted policy.
A flaw was found in the Apache HTTP Server mod_status
module. On sites where the server-status page is publicly
accessible and ExtendedStatus is enabled this could lead to
a cross-site scripting attack. On Fedora the server-status
page is not enabled by default and it is best practice to
not make this publicly available. (CVE-2006-5752)
A bug was found in the Apache HTTP Server mod_cache module.
On sites where caching is enabled, a remote attacker could
send a carefully crafted request that would cause the Apache
child process handling that request to crash. This could
lead to a denial of service if using a threaded
Multi-Processing Module. (CVE-2007-1863)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Fedora 7 Test Update: jack-audio-connection-kit-0.103.0-1.fc7

Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2007-0719
2007-06-27 18:47:26.067504
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : jack-audio-connection-kit
Product : Fedora 7
Version : 0.103.0
Release : 1.fc7
Summary : The Jack Audio Connection Kit
Description :
JACK is a low-latency audio server, written primarily for the Linux
operating system. It can connect a number of different applications to
an audio device, as well as allowing them to share audio between
themselves. Its clients can run in their own processes (ie. as a
normal application), or can they can run within a JACK server (ie. a
"plugin").
JACK is different from other audio server efforts in that it has been
designed from the ground up to be suitable for professional audio
work. This means that it focuses on two key areas: synchronous
execution of all clients, and low latency operation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
The user who wants to start JACK should add himself to the new jackuser special group via modifying /etc/group or by system tools.
All of the limits for that class of the users are provided by /etc/security/limits.conf.
