I'd like to propose a test day for Virtualization.
Preferred date would be soon after the beta, so April 15th or 16th. Later
is fine as well.
We will be doing general virt testing, like the standard test cases we
carry over for each test day:

The anaconda team would like to have a special Test Day, on 2015-02-12,
with the purpose of testing anaconda's DNF backend and trying to identify
all cases where it is broken compared to the yum backend, especially
release-blocking issues.
A secondary goal is to develop tests for anaconda's CI system to cover the
packaging-related functions.

Fedora Quality Assurance
Hi,
I have a workstation and three laptops running Fedora Rawhide. I did
my daily update just now (I point to the Kent mirror rather than the
Fedora mirrors so as to ensure all machines see the same repository,
it updates mid-afternoon +00:00). Workstation and two laptops upgraded
fine. One laptop is having troubles with the packages:
gdm.x86_64 1:3.16.0.1-2.fc23
rawhide
openmpi.x86_64 1.8.4-6.20150324gitg9ad2aa8.fc23
rawhide
openmpi-devel.x86_64 1.8.4-6.20150324gitg9ad2aa8.fc23
rawhide
trying to install them causes yum to fail:
…
Total size: 9.0 M
Is this ok [y/d/N]: y
Downloading packages:
Running transaction check
Running transaction test
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
though I am, not sure where the core is dumped to, it isn't .
It happens if I do gdm individually, the other two enforce each other
so come as a pair, and they have the same problem.
I have no idea how to work out what is going wrong here so as to fix
it, this is clearly a fault on the one laptop.
Any help tracking this down would be most welcome…

1.
/boot on Btrfs grubby (83 comment, 2.5+ year, booger we can't flick off)
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=864198
The first one is fairly appalling because it's a.) old, b.) there's a
tested patch, c.) we're in contempt of our own lament for contributors
when b and c and it still doesn't get fixed; and d.) Josef openly
called for replacing grubby with something that works, seeing as
openSUSE, Ubuntu, Debian, (does anyone else?) don't have this problem.
2.
Custom partitioning does not allow convenient removal of volume
including snapshots (btrfs, LVM)
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1185117
This might seem like it snuck up on us, but I predicted it would
become a problem in two different RFEs one of which is ~18 months old.
[1] Neverthless, openSUSE's default highly snapshottycentric behavior
enhances this problem; but so does Docker on Btrfs; and now in
systemd-219 it's using Btrfs snapshots for container cloning. So these
things are going to continue coming out of our ears.
PROPOSAL:
QA doesn't have an exception policy. If a bug is a blocker under the
current criteria, they block release. Done.
Proposal is to submit them to FESCo to a.) acknowledge they're
blockers; b.) grant an exception for blocking Fedora 22 on the basis
that they're not crazy showstoppers for many people yet; and c.)
should be tagged as blockers for Fedora 23, and as such there are no
excuses for them not getting fixed by then.
Why? Process. I think it's better to adhere to process, and thus far
there's a rather obvious resistance to fixing these two bugs in the
Fedora 22 time frame. So here's an alternative approach.

Hi F22 testers,
anybody knows if kaffeine will not be available in F22? Both yum and dnf
are unable to install kaffeine.
Kind regards

Fedora release 22 (Twenty Two)
Kernel-4.0.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc22.x86_64

https://www-user.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~backes
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/rolekit-0.3.0-1.fc22
Defying even my own expectations, we've released rolekit 0.3.0 today
with full multiple-instancing support. I'd really like for this to end
up in the Fedora 22 Beta which freezes on Tuesday morning, so if
anyone who is willing can please download the Fedora 22 Server TC5
that will be available in a few hours, update to rolekit-0.3.0 and try
it out, that would be a big help.
Some things to test:
== Database Server Role ==
* Install the first instance from a mostly pristine Server install.
* Install additional instance
* Install some instances with the default owner, others with a custom
one.
* Decommission them in random order.
* Ensure that they can be reached over TCP/IP sockets
== Domain Controller Role ==
No obvious regressions. This is unlikely, since we didn't touch the
Domain Controller role code and made only minor tweaks to the common
code.
