I have T480s, I'm running kernel-5.3.14-300.fc31.x86_64, and touchpad and trackpoint work fine for me.

PS: It's good to include some keywords in the email subject next time, e.g. "Test request: BZ 1773879 (touchpad broken on Thinkpad T490s)". Otherwise people with valuable input might skip it due to the title being too vague. It also makes it easier to navigate between threads.
