modprobe.conf is being deprecated so remove it if you created one.
I have no modprobe.conf on this installation. I wonder where same
informations are stored now....
On which application have you tried playing sound?
Rhythmbox, and I run test on System/Preferences/Hardware/Sound
Have you taken a look at Applications --> Sound and Video --> PulseAudio
Volume Control ?
yes:
Volume is fully up, on Output and Input devices.Why is nothing in
Playback Window???
