Dear all, I am back to testing. I have updated my machine to latest 20061006 updates. Now konqueror does not run from menu, both KDE and GNOME had to invoke terminal to run konqueror
[olivares@localhost ~]$ konqueror & [1] 3006
[olivares@localhost ~]$ cat /etc/fedora-release Fedora Core release 5.92 (FC6 Test3)
I also got a fatal module error when booting newer kernel [olivares@localhost ~]$ uname -a Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.18-1.2741.fc6 #1 SMP Wed Oct 4 20:16:33 EDT 2006 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux [olivares@localhost ~]$
acpi_cpufreq or something like this was module invalid or not found. I have checked system log but cannot find the message. Will get back on Monday to try fixes or find out that problem has been fixed.
Regards,
Antonio

Try $ kbuildsycoca
does that help?
Were you logged in when updating? If so, logout and (re) login.

No. It does not.

Done that! Still konqueror does not run. Have to use terminal and run from terminal. From terminal it works.
Thanks,
Antonio

Rey,
I have checked the following, using Kmenu editor,
Name: Konqueror Description: Web Browser Command: kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing
running command from terminal opens konqueror nicely.
What could be happening?
Has this happened to someone else?
Regards,
Antonio

I'm seeing this problem too. I installed FC6 test3 some time ago, and I mostly use gnome. If I enter the command
konqueror
at a command line, it works. But neither the menu nor entering the command
kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing
works. If I enter that kfmclient command, it gives the message
kbuildsycoca running...
but konqueror never appears.
And it's kind of annoying --- I have some webdav folders that I need to access, and I can't get nautilus to open them (It keeps asking for my password over and over and over and over...) and konqueror can open them.
