Hi, I had f7t4 installed and have been taking updates regularly and with every update some or the other feature stops working (no i am not complaining :) )
Wireless was working fine till 2.6.21-1.3189.fc7 but completely stopped after that. I did not do any change. In the new kernel or wireless tools network manager stopped showing wireless options.
This has happened with 2.6.21-1.319x.fc7, 2.6.21-1.3200.fc7 and 2.6.21-1.3207.fc8. I am not sure if this is kernel issue or network manager update issue or wireless tools.
my laptop: http://smolt.fedoraproject.org/show?UUID=22c8710a-e702-4bcb-b002-448a3e53805...
Can anyone please advice me what can I do to enable it again?
Thanks.

The f8 kernels will be flaky for a while.
From time to time, the wireless patches may even be completely
dropped until such time that they get rediffed. This means various new drivers like iwl3945 etc will just disappear temporarily.

Hi-
Did anybody else see this. I just allowed the sw updater to run, but it aborted with an internal error. I last ran the updater only about a week ago.
I think there may have been some bad cross-dependency relations involved. The system (a recent Acer x86 laptop) can reboot, but some key system libs have been left in an unstable state and a lot of lib-related warnings are issued to the console during startup/shutdown. X now aborts on startup, but lucky for me, I normally run in text-mode anyway... ;)

The most likely you bumped into a problem of a kernel which says that is of one version and 'uname -r' shows a different one. Hence various modules are not found in an initial sequence and assorted pieces of userspace do not start.
That was mentioned already on this list, and there exist a correponding bugzilla report, and a temporary workaround was posted a few days ago. You can also boot some older kernel instead which does not suffer from the issue.

I just updated and got an exception report today. attached is the report.
Running package-cleanup --problems showed a slew of errors. Updates-testing is enabled for me.
