Subject: Transifex Live -- please test
To: fedora-trans-list(a)redhat.com
Hi all.
Since yesterday, we have been adding some live/actual modules on our
Transifex instance. Yay! Right now we've got smolt and revisor, both on
non-CVS repositories, accepting translations, and we'll incrementally
add more:
https://publictest5.fedora.redhat.com/submit/module/
Any translator (member of cvsl10n) can login to the application and
submit a translation to the registered modules. The more people test
these, the quicker we'll be able to say "OK, we are ready to add more
modules". :)
So, can some of you please submit some stuff on the live modules and
play around? I'll keep an eye on the logs in case some error shows up.
Please report problems with bug reports:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora%20Localization&com…
In the mean time, I'll contact the OLPC folks to setup some of their
modules on our transifex instance. It's a great opportunity for us to
jump right in and help the translation of OLPC: it's for a good cause
and the strings are so few.

Hi, Sam
As you can see, google or yahoo mail (or both) is too bad.. maybe we
should use RTF format instead of plain text when writing email in
Chinese?
I can see that you have signed the CLA, thank godness. Now you can
first edit your own WikiName page at:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ShenenChen
I also have added your name to
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/zh_CN/Contributors .
Please feel free to write new documents or translate. Two things to note:
* The document is translated in CVS in po format, not on the wiki, so
you should request for a cvsl10n workgroup access. After that, visit
http://translate.fedoraproject.org for modules need translating.
* To write new documents, a useful practice is to edit new document
drafts first under one's WikiName, then move it to formal names. For
example, the FAQ is first edited as
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/WaltPu/draft/FAQ , then moved to $zh
CN/Docs/Drafts/FAQ (omitted the starting Url), and it will be moved to
$zh_CN/Docs/FAQ eventually.
Thanks!

Hi, Qi
真的是好久不见!你也从来不到 #fedora-cn 坐。这些天很忙吗?fedora 7 发布你就消失了,fedora 8 即将发布时你才跑出来干活儿。 :D
May I introduce you to the others on the list. Vmlinz Qi is a fedora
contributor whose fedora account is 'vmlinz' and WikiName is
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/VmlinzQi . He worked as a translator and
he translated the fedora 7 release notes as well as install guide!
let's welcome his return. :)
About the release notes content, yes, it seems the 'devel' branch is
not imported to CVS yet. The fedora 7 release notes has a minor update
and I have updated it. the f8 relnotes will be something after test3,
and we'd better do it until the last time POT file is pushed, that
will be Oct. 9 or later.
能有机会再和你共事真是太好了。
btw, to everyone: the devel branch will have its string freeze at Sep.
25 which is 2 weeks from now. 请及时加入翻译项目,访问
http://translate.fedoraproject.org 可以看到待翻译的模块及访问仓库的方法,如果有问题,及时在邮件列表或
#fedora-cn 提出来。
Thanks!
