FUDCon presentation (today)
by Dimitris Glezos
Hey all.
A reminder that today (actually in half an hour) we are having a L10n
session/presentation at Fedora's Virtual FUDCon:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JefSpaleta/VirtualFudCon
It's a good opportunity to explain the necessity behind the efforts to make the
Fedora Localization Project bigger, better and more organized, moving
development to Fedora infrastructure and bridging the gap between translators
and developers with something like Transifex.
16:00 UTC, #fudcon.

Re: Notice: Fedora 8 Feature *and String* Freeze - 2 WEEKS LEFT
by Dimitris Glezos

A reminder that August 28th is also the *string freeze* for Fedora 8. After this
date, no new strings can be added or existing ones be modified in packages that
are translated by the Fedora Localization Project (eg stuff that Fedora is
upstream).
For more information on string freezes, please refer to:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N/Freezes#string
In short:
* Please add/modify any translatable strings in your apps until then.
* Make sure everything that should be translated is marked so (eg. gettext'ed).
Finally, a big "Thanks!" to all developers and maintainers who have been
patiently announcing their string changes in the past, thus helping us having
high quality translations in each Fedora release. Thank you!

ideas for TQSG optimization
by Dimitrios Typaldos
Hello,
I recently decided to compose a list of item that might be useful helping improve/optimize the TQSG. You can read about it in:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DimitriosTypaldos/Ideas
I need to say that I am only few months that I am involved in Fedora translations (Greek)
and some of the suggested entries might not be of broad interest or having attributed the wrong priority, due to my
short experience. Anyway, I hope they make sense.
I would be glad to hear your comments.
Thanks.

Nope, its the one under release-notes/F-7/po
The last change was rev 1.7 by Paul in 2007/07/28.

Depends on the build proccess. It is a manual process here, or so it seems. :-)
P.S. It seems you replied to me personally by mistake. Sending to the list again.

String changes in F-7 release notes
by Paul W. Frields
We would like to do an update of the fedora-release-notes package in
Fedora 7, but it would be best if we could get all the original locales
updated for this purpose. I see that Fabian and the "de" locale
translators have provided a new translation as well -- great job guys!
The other locales that still need fixes are:
el es fi pa pt_BR sr uk zh_CN
Thanks as always for your efforts.

Policycoreutils man pages translation to Russian language
by Andrey Markelov
Hello,
I translated all 20 man pages from policycoreutils to Russian language. Before that work I had some experiences with translation (as example translation to Russian RHEL4 doc in A.B.A. Inventa - http://www.rhd.ru/docs/). So, i hope that my translation - ok. Also, translation was checked by my colleague - RHCX. Is it possible to include translated pages in policycoreutils package?
Also i open ticket #250741 in bugzilla.

Modules missing in i18n.redhat.com
by Igor Pires Soares
Hello guys!
I was looking into i18n.redhat.com translate statistics and noticed that
some modules are missing (system-config-printer and virt-manager, for
instance).
Does anybody know what is happening?
