I suggest that change would be made upon the Russian translation of
welcome message at http://fedoraproject.org/ru
The one that has been there is incorrect in several parts from the point
of view of a native speaker. The message can be as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------

usr/share/gnome/help/about-fedora/ru/about-fedora.xml as reference (it's
about the same).

Last-minute PO update for fedora-web
by Ricky Zhou
Just giving a heads up, I was doing some last-minute link checking and
found a bad link fedora-web.pot. I'm doing an emergency last-minute
change to the POT and PO files now, since we're about 40 minutes before
pushing the site live. I will be editing all PO files to fix this, so
just letting you guys know that the PO files will change soon, but you
shouldn't need to take any action on it.
Thanks for all the translations!

Fedora Installation Guide
by Ruediger Landmann
Hi all -
Could we please have some input into how many languages we should
publish the guide in?
Three languages are completely (or almost completely) translated: Dutch,
Spanish, and Italian. These are also the only languages more than 65%
complete. Obviously[1], we'll publish these.
There are four additional languages at 50% and up: German, French,
Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. Should we publish these in
this state?
The remaining 29 languages are less than half-way there. Should we
publish these in this state? (Eight of these are under 10% complete, and
of these, two are under 1%)
You can, of course, see which languages are at which state of completion
on the Guide's Transifex page[2].
Thoughts?
Thanks
Ruediger
[1] Well, it *should* be obvious... I'm aware that the 100% complete
translations of the Fedora 10 guide are *still* not up. I tried to fix
this, but unfortunately, I have not been able to master the old
fedora-docs-utils tools; Publican was already in use when I joined Red
Hat. I'm still hoping that someone more experienced with the old tools
can do this for us.

As we've discussed previously elsewhere, translators can create their
own localized announcements using our talking points:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F11_Talking_Points
They do not need to translate the top part of the announcement (the
funny safari story) at all if desired.
