Hi
I can not find some strings below in PO file which are appeared in
English at the above. Looking in some other languages, those strings are
appeared in English as well, even those languages are all 100% translated.
Where can I find them to translate?
I believe that this site is fetching latest translation periodically,
but how often?

Other Options
* Formats: DVD ISOs, Physical Media
* Architectures: 64-bit, PPC, and others
* Desktops: KDE, XFCE, GNOME, and others
* Spins: Electronics Lab, Education, and others
o The section "Other Options", Formats, Architectures, Desktops, Spins
exist in PO and have all been translated. But their descriptions such as
'DVD ISOs, Physical Media', '64-bit PPC, and others' etc can not be
found in PO file and left in English.
Export Regulations
By clicking on and downloading Fedora, you agree to comply with the
following terms and conditions:
Read full export regulations
o 'Export Regulations' exists in PO and has been translated. But the
description followed can not be found in PO and left in English.

Online Classroom
The Fedora IRC Classroom periodically holds classes to help you better
use, understand, and manage your Fedora installation. Refer to the
Classroom page for more information on upcoming classes, and archives of
previous class sessions.
o 'Online Classroom' exists in PO and has been translated, but the
description followed can not be found in PO and left in English.

Publican 1.6.3 -- Important
by Ruediger Landmann
Hi all --
Just a note that Publican 1.6.3 will be in the repos shortly. This is a
major bugfix release with fixes for around 20 issues including quite a
few that specifically impact localization:
580360 - Publican does not allow programlisting/screen in entry
581397 - Updating zero-length PO files causes Publican to create
corrupted PO files
581773 - a manual page reference should not break a paragraph for
translations / PO files
582255 - <indexterm> is not translatable when outside of <para>
582649 - Some translated strings are not used, problem with non-breaking
space?
582680 - <indexterm> should be standalone in a translation
583224 - <keyword> should be translatable
The net effect of these fixes is that Publican now presents some strings
to translators that it did not present before (such as <keyword>,
<indexterm>, and the contents of <screen> and <programlisting>), and
divides some strings in PO files differently from how it did before (for
example, not breaking English strings into three separate strings around
<refentrytitle>). These changes should make life easier for translators
in future, and allow them to produce more complete translations.
As we approach the final push towards Fedora 13, it's really important
that Docs team members keep the POT (and therefore PO) files stable for
translators -- we don't want to shift the goalposts.
Therefore, do NOT use Publican 1.6.3 to refresh POT files for documents
already in translation. If you do so, it is very likely that you will
break existing translations.
If you do need to update or change POT files for an existing document
(which at this stage should require permission from the Localization
Team anyway) make sure that you use Publican 1.6.2.
However, if you need to generate or refresh PO files for some reason
(for example, to add a new language for a document), it's fine to use
1.6.3: the changes in Publican only affect XML-to-POT, not POT-to-PO.
Cheers
Rudi

Web F13 mistake??
by Chrisito
I was checking the file fedora-web.master-fedoraproject.es.po and I found
this line:
"To access this support launch Fedoras default instant messaging client,
Pidgin, and ..."
Is Pidgin the default IM, I thought that it was switched to Empathy since
F12. Is this a mistake or it was switched back again to Pidgin?
In case this is a mistake, It should be reported to web developers since the
mistake is in the English file, yet I dont know how to perform this task.
Kind regards
Christian Ponce

string freeze break
by Tim Waugh
Hi,
I'd like to mark some strings for translation in system-config-printer,
and to add localization to one part. These are the strings returned
from CUPS to describe devices, such as "Window Printer via SAMBA" (this
string actually comes from samba-client), "Internet Printing Protocol
(ipp)", "LPD/LPR Host or Printer" etc.
These are strings which are already shown to the user untranslated, and
at least one of these strings (the samba one) already has a translation
available as the same string is used elsewhere in system-config-printer.
The overall result is a slight improvement in localization (one extra
string that previously showed untranslated will now use the existing
translation), and the possibility for better localization when a handful
of extra strings are translated.
Of course, at this stage, none of this will be in Fedora 13 until/unless
an update is issued.
Tim.

[Fwd: One week slip of Fedora 13 release]
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi,
At F13 Release Readiness Meeting held at today (or last night for
others), it has been confirmed that the deadlines related to docs and
websites can also slip a week. This means we have now another extra week
for docs and websites translation.
We are almost there!

The F13 final readiness meeting, also known as the "go/no-go" meeting,
was held this evening. As the meeting notes indicate, there are bugs
remaining on the blocker list:
http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/test/2010-May/090880.html
According to the release criteria[1], the decision was made to slip
the release of Fedora 13 by one week, to Tuesday 2010-05-25.
During composition of any further release candidates, the Fedora
Release Engineering and Quality Assurance teams plan to be
conservative in accepting fixes for the release, and will limit these
to blocker items and critical fixes.
The Fedora 13 release schedule[2] has been updated to reflect the new
release date. We regret any inconvenience to the community. Thank
you for your patience as we try to ensure the best possible Fedora
release.

Fedora Transifex - problems with downloading/uploading of po files
by josefhruska@upcmail.cz
Hi,
Since yesterday, I have been experiencing problems when trying to
download or upload Czech po files from Fedora transifex - receiving
notice of "Bage unavailable" or "Page not found". It concerns for
example Installation Quick Start Guide or docsite-publican project.
I guess it is mainly because of Fedora GA date is really approaching, so
there is a lot of activity on the servers. However, to be sure, are you
experiencing same problems?
