man-pages-l10n
by Akira TAGOH
Hi,
I've started the project, man-pages-l10n to provide the localized man pages based on the consistent source and avoid the outdated translations in man pages, and just finished to set up the infrastructure. so I'd like to call for translators to move toward first release.
There are so many man pages and words to be translated. we'll take so long time to see man pages fully translated. so I think that would be good to set some milestones and for first release, translating the section 1 (and 1p if possible, p means one from posix) may be good enough. I'm planning to make a first release in f22.
You can find PO out at https://translate.zanata.org/zanata/project/view/man-pages-l10n
the naming rule for the versioning at Zanata is, <original man pages version>_<man pages' section>.
so somewhat easier to find out the targeted man pages for milestone.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks in advance,
---

Is there any way to see this file without being logged into
a google account?

Release Notes POTs
by Pete Travis
I've just begun pushing strings to Transifex for the Fedora 21 Release
Notes.
I'll caution you now that there will be more content to come, and some
QA will cause the existing strings to change. If you find any problems
when translating, a report via bugzilla (or IRC, or mailing list, or
carrier pigeon, if you have a fast one) would be very much appreciated.
Happy translating, and thanks for your efforts!

Go or No-Go for Move to Zanata Stage 0 -> Stage 1
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi
I've confirmed with docs team and websites team for all their projects
and the owners to be migrated. The list can be found here [1]. And now
I've started the discussion with FESCO to get support [2]. You can add
your self in the ticket.
Now I've been asked by FESCO when the go/no-go decision is made. There
have been many positive posts to move to zanata, but I like to request
all to make a clear decision to move forward to the production instance
(aka stage1). I've set the end date of Stage0 to 31-Sep (software
translation deadline is 23-Sep). Or let me know if we can decide earlier :)
All, could you please discuss within your team and give your team
decision to this list by this date.
For historical data to be retained, there is only one bug filed for
translator credit [1], and got the answer please see the bug. Another I
can think of is 'reviewed' mark. Chatting with camunoz, those can not be
retained, but there is such feature in Zanata and we can utilize for
future translation.
Any information you need to make a decision, please feel free to ask or
file a bug.

[Fedora] Plan Stage 1: Move to Zanata
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi
I've updated the wiki page and added the schedule.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Move_To_Zanata#Move_To_Zanata_Schedul...
If any concern or missing, please advise.
Currently I am planing to have fortnightly meeting in Brisbane with
Carlos and Michelle representing Zanata team starting next week, and
submit the meeting minutes here.
However if anyone wish to hold different form of meeting or additional
meeting, we should discuss and implement it according to the need. I
like to hear any suggestion on this.
Thanks
noriko

Problem on anaconda translation in Transifex, bug #1138644
by Tiansworld
Hi guys,
If you do the translation of Anaconda, then did you notice that there are
about 80 translated strings, which are marked to 'Not translated' state
every time Anaconda team make a push to Transifex. These approximately 80
strings are always the same strings.
If you don't translate the strings very often, you will not notice that
they've been translated before.
The problem already happened 4 or 5 times. Now its in F21 branch.
I've reported a bug[1] several days ago, but it seems that the Anaconda
team hasn't fixed it by now.
However, to find out the exact reason that causes the problem, I send this
message here to raise your attention, and hope you can find some clue.
If it wouldn't be fixed, then our work will be effortless, they will be set
to 'Not translated'.
Here I excerpt some of the strings:
1. /boot file system
2. boot loader stage2 device %(stage2dev)s is on a multi-disk array, but
boot loader stage1 device %(stage1dev)s is not. A drive failure in
%(stage2dev)s could render the system unbootable.
3. _Add zFCP LUN...
