Fwd: Introduction
by Michael Adeyeye
Hello Guys,
I am Michael A. Oshin; I would like to contribute to the Fedora translation
works.
I have assisted with some projects in Mozilla -
http://mozilla.locamotion.org/yo/
I was wondering what I need to get started. Apparently, there is no yoruba
(sub-)project at the https://fedora.zanata.org/language/list
Can anyone please help create it and give me some write access to the
directory ?
Regards,
Michael.

Self-introduction: Mikel | Spanish
by MikelooOOoo .
Hi there!
Name: Mikel Martinez
Login: mikeleitor
Language: Spanish Basque English (in descending order of skill)
Student of Biochemistry
About me: I am very creative. In a literal sense. I enjoy a lot writing
stories, drawing, creating 3d models, playing music, and programming.
I've been interested in programming since I was young. I have not studied
anything related to computers, but thanks to resources found on the
internet I have learned to program in python, c++ and currently Java. I am
work for my university math's department in image analysis with matlab.
Someday I would like to cooperate in bugfixing and so on, but I dont know
if I have the neccesary programming skills
Me and the Fedora Project : I started using ubuntu, and then debian. Later
on, gave a try to linux mint, but finally, I've found myself confortable in
Fedora. Everything works fine, and all thanks to the excellent work of many
people involved in this project. So I thought it was time to give back some
of all the things/work/software/documentation/help I have received. And
here I am.

I've never used mailing lists nor GPG, so I hope everything it's correct.
Looking forward to start working on translations ^^

Maintainer page and new Zanata instance homepage
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi,
As we move to Zanata, we need to update the information related to.
Recently Tiansworld and Julie have started working on major upgrade of
our most important guide. Now I notice two places below also need attention.
* Maintainer page (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Maintainer)
The warning sign has been put up, but I can't see any post telling
someone is working on it... Anyone can help to update this page?
* Zanata homepage (https://fedora.zanata.org/)
Because this instance is set up dedicated to FLP, we can and should give
nice face as our homepage. Currently it looks pretty much empty. Is
anyone interest to work?
Thanks a lot!

Fedora 21 final release: Main websites translations!
by Robert Mayr
Dear translators,
you probably noticed that I have created a new source on the websites
project in TX, it's called getfedora.org and will replace the actual
fedoraproject.org source.
We are still working on the new websites and don't have really *final
strings* for now. Therefor I decided to keep this source closed at
least until we will have some concrete strings to work on. Of course
we don't want you to the work 3 or 4 times, so once we will have some
concrete strings from the Product WGs/MArketing we will constantly add
new ones to give you the opportunity to organize your work better.
As soon as I open the source I will send out another heads up (also on
TX) to try to reach you all, because websites need a particular
attention for the final release. That's also the reason why I'll
probably close soon the fedoraproject.org master source, so if you
want to fix or complete some particular sections of the main websites,
please do it now.
In the meanwhile I'll try to build the webistes in staging to give you
all the possibility to proofread the strings and to understand better
the context. All this should happen within this week.
For any questions and/or suggestions please don't hesitate and reply
here or ping me or anyone else from the websites team on IRC, we all
want to have a smooth and clean merge into the new websites, although
it will not be that easy.
Kind regards.
