I can confirm that this bug is still present in the f12 beta with
grubby-7.0.8-1.fc12.i686 and using a btrfs root.
To Reproduce:
1) install the F12 beta to two VMs where one is ext4 and the other btrfs
(icantbelieveitsnotbtr).
2) run "grubby --default-kernel" (or attempt to update the kernel and note that
grub.conf isn't updated) to see if it's working right.
Actual results:
returns the kernel path of the default on ext4, but nothing if btrfs.
/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31.1-56.fc12.i686.PAE
Expected:
should work everywhere.

As it was originally RAWHIDE bugzilla and problem is fixed in rawhide, closing
RAWHIDE.
Note: as all /usr/share/man/<locale> and
/usr/share/man/<locale>/man{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,n,1x,2x,3x,4x,5x,6x,7x,8x,9x,0p,1p,3p}
are now owned by filesystem, maybe some tracking bugzilla and separate bug
reports for components owning those dirs has to be filled.

If you use "files sss" in /etc/nsswitch.conf and "pam_sss.so" in
/etc/pam.d/system-auth (and no ldap / pam_ldap.so at all) then all
userinfo/authentication attempts go through SSSD which should be able to handle
offline situations. You probably need a recent version like 0.6 or so.

do I see any evidence as to why it would.
