Though I'm not the maintainer, I went ahead and fixed this anyway. I also
included "Provides: cdparanoia-static = %{version}-%{release}" in the devel
package to make it entirely correct now. Will (finally) be fixed in F-13.

As more and more mobile phones come with Bluetooth, not IrDA, nowadays I'm not
sure is this worth the effort? OTOH, LIRC seems now finally be heading to
kernel:

I can reproduce this with an updated Fedora 12,
hfsplus-tools-332.14-11.fc12.x86_64
Could somebody please update the version to 12 before the bug gets auto-closed,
as I don't seem to be able to.

Looks like this was http://bugs.python.org/issue1498146
which was fixed in http://svn.python.org/view?view=rev&revision=46861
(appears to have been released in Python 2.5 beta 2)

Tested on F-12 with python-2.6.2 (and pykickstart-1.64-1.fc12.noarch) and it
seems to be working OK (or, at least, not raising exceptions):
