I may have spoken too soon. Interesting issue though. By installing the
correct i386 library I was able to run the Citrix client via my web browser
- I am unable though to run the client by itself. If I run
/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr - I get this error:
*/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr: error while loading shared libraries:
libXm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory*
So after some poking around, I found that OpenMotif is supposed to have
libXm.so.3 library. I install both i386 and x86_64 packages from
ftp://ftp.ics.com/openmotif/2.3/2.3.1/, which I got that link directly from
http://www.motifzone.net/.
I tried to run it after that and got the same error. So; I uninstalled then
reinstalled the Citrix client, but I'm still getting the same issue. I've
tried 4 different version of openmotif and I'm still getting the same error.

Please help me understand this library issue. Thanks.

bluetooth mounse becomes erratic when network load is moderate.
by Wendell Nichols
I have a bluetooth mouse which works nicely most of the time, but if I
run a process which consumes network resources (and my network is
wireless) the pointer lags behind the mouse movement. Even playing
music via an nfs mounted disk is enough to cause this problem. Anyone
else see or overcome that?

ssh problem
by Dave Feustel
I am trying to set up ssh for use on my local network.
When I try to access f9 with ssh from suse, the connection is refused.
When I try to access suse with ssh from f9, ssh hangs.
AFICT, all other ssh invocations on both f9 and suse succeed.
Is ssh being blocked by a problem with the f9 firewall?
How can I check?
Thanks.

gallery2 update that came out today.
by Jason Dickerson
The update will break the gallery; however there is a workaround. Before
you run the upgrade from http://<host>/gallery2/upgrade, you need to add the
following symlink
ln -s /usr/share/php/Smarty /usr/share/gallery2/lib/smarty
If you have already run the upgrade, you can still just add the symlink and
it will work. I only say to add it before, to minimize the system check
errors.
After the symlink is added, the upgrade system checks detect 3 files missing
(2 documentation files and a jar file, g2_db2.jar) and 2 modified
(Smarty_Compiler.class.php and modifier.debug_print_var.php). These do not
seem to present an issue.
As far as I can tell, everything is working after the symlink was created.

Seagate disk problems (NCQ bug???)
by Wolfgang S. Rupprecht
After running flawlessly for 6+ months I just had my Seagate
ST31500343AS (w. SD35 firmware) flake out. Does this look like the NCQ
bug or just a random event? The final error msg was around the time the
machine hung hard.

Remote administration of FC 10 headless servers.

I just installed FC10 on my home server. I access it via xrdp. The
first time I tried to install some packages via the graphical package

This machine doesn't have a console! How are we supposed to administer
headless servers?

fedora 10 weird mplayer playback
by Janez Košmrlj
I upgraded to fedora 10 about a month ago. And since then mplayer
doesn't play videos smoothly. The sound is ok, but the video plays to
slow for a couple of seconds, then it plays to fast, to catch up with
the sound, then it slows down again and so on.
I did a fresh install from the live cd, but i reused the old home dir,
so the user settings stayed the same.
I installed Mplayer from the rpmfusion repo. I use the x86-64
distribution, on an AMD Pheom II X3.
My Brother has similar problems on a completely fresh install (including
home dir) on a core 2 duo laptop.

FC10 and NDISwrapper
by Gary Stainburn
Hi folks.
I'm trying to get WIFI working on my new DELL and I've been told to try
ndiswrappers.
I tried
yum search ndiswrapper
and varients, but nothing was found. I then found RPMs using rpmsearch and
downloaded them.
Now when I try 'yum localinstall' it adds the kernel as a dependancy,
downloads it, and then errors saying it is already installed.
If I try 'rpm -i' it fails on dependancy for /boot/vmlinuz
I've included the session log. Has anyone any suggestions?

Kernel-firmware package and Anaconda.
by Bram_Gro
Hi,
For those (like me) who wish to avoid proprietary firmware, they have
been moved since Fedora 10 into a single package called kernel-firmware.
Can I uncheck this kernel-firmware package during the custom
installation process within Anaconda, or is this done otherwise?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is a custom install to have minimalised installation, only possible to
preform with a 4x.GB DVD release, or is this option also available in
the live CDs/USBs?
Bram.
