The version currently in RPM Fusion's updates-testing is 2.1.4, while
the latest closed-source version is 2.2.2. Is it necessary to do
anything to convert the contents of one's ~/.VirtualBox directory to
work with the lower-numbered version? (As I recall, the update to 2.2.0
required a file format conversion.) Or can one just remove the
closed-source package, install the open-source one, and have everything
just work?
Also, for people who need the closed-source features such as guest
access to USB devices, is it possible for the closed-source version to
be in the nonfree repo?

hibernate/suspend problems
by François Patte
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Bonsoir,
I installed f10 on my laptop.
hibernate works quite badly: very long time to hibernate, very long time
to resume (if it resumes).
suspend does not work at all: suspend, yes, then no possibility to
resume....
Should I install tuxonice stuff? (If it works!)
My laptop: Toshiba Qosmio F20
Thanks for helping.

where is Amarok Handbook in Fedora 10?
by D. Hugh Redelmeier
[I'm trying to figure out how to support "portable media players" with
Fedora 10. Lots of roadblocks.]
In Amarok, I press F1, or go to the Help drop-down menu and press "Amarok
Handbook" and get an error popup:
The file or folder help:/amarok/index.html does not exist.
When I dismiss the messge, I have a KDE Help Center. I can browse it:
Table of Contents: Application Manuals: Sound & Video: Amarok
and get the same error popup.
How come I don't have the Amarok Handbook?
Yum says that there are no interesting amarok packages that I've yet to
install.

Fedora-11 Preview install problems
by Wolfgang S. Rupprecht
I downloaded the Fedora-11 Preview (/x86_64) and tried to install it on
two different athlon-64's(*) but the installer would hang. Sometimes it
hung without printing anything, other times it would hand just after
printing the "ISOLUNIX" line and then come up with what looked like a
bios disk error. The dvd iso file's sha256 checks out ok, so the file
transferred correctly. I didn't take the dvd's sha256, but I did burn a
second copy and it acted the same way. Are other folks having better
luck?
Just for added fun, there is no obvious place to report this on
bugzilla.

Firefox 3, FC10, download has no open with option
by Gary Stainburn
Hi Folks.
When I click on a link for a word document, I don't get the option to open the
file. Even though the popup window has the title 'Opening <filename>' and
starts of by saying 'You have chosen to open............................'
I only get the options to Cancel or Save File.
Why do I have to do to get the Open buttin?
This is on a clean install of FC10 onto my new laptop with all yum updates
applied
