Outgoing email filters for claws-mail
by Suvayu Ali
Hi everyone,
Can anyone point me to how to setup outgoing email filters with claws.
I am using Claws with Gmail over IMAP and would like to put a copy of
the sent email in the folder I am replying from. Without this my
replies don't appear in the thread.
Thanks for any help on this.

Installing F14 on a HP M9517C behind Vista
by Mickey
I have a friend that lives in a different State and wants F14 Installed
on a second Sata hard drive , behind Vista.
Would it be better to use Vista's boot procedures or grubs at Boot startup.
And if so, where would I find instructions on setting it up in Vista.

NTLDR is missing error after fresh install of Win XP VM
by Mark LaPierre
Hey all,
Fedora 13 clean install
Gnome desktop
[mlapier@mushroom ~]$ uname -a
Linux mushroom.patch 2.6.34.7-66.fc13.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Dec 15
07:21:49 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I just finished installing a Win XP VM using the Virtual Machine Manager
GUI. After the initial installation step the VM wants to restart to
complete the installation. I stopped the VM and set the boot order to
CD then HD. That restart went well and the installation completed about
3:00 this morning.
When I was setting up the VM I selected the Windows type and the Win XP
subtype.
I reset the boot order to HD then CD. When I tried to start the VM
after the install was complete it complained that it couldn't find the
CD ISO image because I had taken the CD out of the drive. That would
make sense seeing that the installation was complete. I deleted the CD
drive from the VM hardware. That solved the missing CD ISO problem but
now there's the
Booting from Hard Disk...
NTLDR is missing
Press and key to restart
When I press "any key", that would be the really wide one at the bottom
of the key board, the above message is repeated each time I press the
"any key".
I tried formatting the virtual disk with the NT file system and with the
FAT file system. I get the same result so that's not the issue.
I've installed VM's off this Win XP installation disk in the past on
earlier Fedora versions and they would boot up so I know it's not the
install disk. I've tried everything I can think of or find on Google
searches and I'm getting really tired of three hour Win XP install sessions.
Does anyone have an idea what's wrong with this set up?

nm-connection-editor's "Available to all users" checkbox
by W. Michael Petullo
I can't figure out why nm-connection-editor's "Available to all users"
checkbox is not working for me on Fedora 14. I have the following behavior
in two use scenarios:
1. Wireless/Add: receive "Connection add failed: Insufficient privileges"
error dialog when I click "Apply" with "Available to all users" checked.
2. Wireless/Edit: fails silently. That is, I click "Apply" and receive no
error. But, when I again edit the connection, I see that the "Available
to all users" is not checked.
I would expect to be prompted for a root password when I click
"Apply." I would also expect to see some type of error message in the
second scenario.
I am able to add or edit a system-wide configuration if I run "pkexec
nm-connection-editor --display=:0.0" and provide my root password.
My user account is stored in LDAP. I have tried adding myself to the
desktop_admin_t and desktop_user_r groups (by editing the local /etc/group
and confirming with the groups command), but this does not help.
I am using Fedora 14 and have the following related packages installed:
polkit-desktop-policy-0.98-4.fc14.noarch
polkit-0.98-4.fc14.x86_64
polkit-gnome-0.97-4.fc15.x86_64
NetworkManager-glib-0.8.1-10.git20100831.fc14.x86_64
NetworkManager-gnome-0.8.1-10.git20100831.fc14.x86_64
NetworkManager-0.8.1-10.git20100831.fc14.x86_64
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Avahi and IPv6
by W. Michael Petullo
I am trying to get Avahi working in a Fedora 14 IPv6 environment. I've
read what I can find about the subject, but am still having trouble.
I have written "use-ipv6=yes" to "avahi-daemon.conf," but when I run
"avahi-browse," I do not see any IPv6 services listed (only IPv4). For
an additional test, I turned off "use-ipv4." In this case, "avahi-browse"
listed no services. I would expect to see at least the "_workstation._tcp"
service listed as available on IPv6.
Finally, I enabled ipv6, disabled ipv4 and ran "avahi-publish -s test
_test._tcp 80." This command responded with "Established under name
'test'," but avahi-browse did not display the service.
The Avahi daemon does seem to pick up my IPv6 interface, as the following
debug output shows:
$ sudo avahi-daemon --debug
Process 8620 died: No such process; trying to remove PID file. (/var/run/avahi-daemon//pid)
Found user 'avahi' (UID 498) and group 'avahi' (GID 493).

Service "imp" (/services/ssh.service) successfully established.
I have tried turning off my host firewall and have disabled SELinux in
order to test.
Does anyone know why "avahi-browse" is not displaying IPv6 services?

by Zoltan Hoppar
I have tried to cut my videos to pieces, and stream back them together
to have the best moments that I have recorded - but it seems that I

couldn't control the audio part of the clips - however would be fine
for this case, but rendering the project doesn't saves ANY audio....

somebody says that I have to debug, or test or ANYTHING to achive
better multimedia support - I'M HERE.... :(
