I recently installed F16. I had the fedora-update.repo repository
enabled when I ran yum. Should fedora-updates.repo be enabled?
Yum installed firefox-10.0-1.fc16.x86_64 and
xulrunner-10.0-1.fc16.x86_64. This combination does not appear to work.
I do not know how to get back to where I was before the upgrade. I tried:
after disabling the fedora-updates.repo.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I am trying to return from Ubuntu,
so it has been awhile.
Hello to all,
I've web-server Apache:
*[root@services share]# httpd -v
Server version: Apache/2.2.17 (Unix)*
on Fedora Linux:
*[root@services share]# cat /etc/issue
Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)
And I have domain example.domain.com where I want to see file listing in
the current directory, but when I go in the browser to example.domain.com I
get the next error:
You don't have permission to access / on this server.*
So I don't know what is the problem =(

My .htaccess file:
*[root@services QaTests]# cat .htaccess
*drwxrwsrwt 5 root apache 4096 Jan 26 17:15 QaTests*
What could be a problem I don't have any idea?
Could somebody to help me please ?

I have upgraded my server from Fedora 14 to Fedora 16 (x86_64) - most
things are going again happily but there are a few remaining problems -
the main one at the moment involves Logrotate, Systemctl, Httpd and SSL.
My logrotate.conf is set up for daily rotations so I get old logs like:
but, presumably because of the changes from "service" to "systemctl"
and a problem with restarting httpd and not entering a password at the
tty prompt, logged data continues to be sent to the old, rotated file
It looks like this was a known issue with the introduction of Fedora 15
and that it should have been fixed:
- but it doesn't appear to be in my case - is there something I am

I need to write a mostly simple multi platform application. USB
upload/download, open a file, etc.
I'm wondering how pyQt works these days on Windows and Mac (OSX Lion,
more properly, I guess).
Is there anything better for a simple multi platform app ?
I just noticed that after updating the kernel and grub a couple of days
ago, Ubuntu 11 boot menu provides boot for my Fedora 14 install on
another hard drive.
I always had this with Fedora but it seems new for Ubuntu .
If I fresh install Fedora 16 over fedora 14 will this wreck the grub
boot in ubuntu?
I'm comfortable with Fedora grub but have no idea about ubuntu boot/grub.
Haven't found any google assistance.
Can someone point me to a document and please don't say go to the ubuntu
forums, I have found no help there and I never get a response to
questions on those forums.
