Anyone got three monitors working?

Howdy All -
I have Gigabyte EP43-UD3L motherboard with a single PCI Express 2.0 x16
slot. It currently has a decent NVidia card - a GeForce 7300 GT. I've
got two monitors attached, one via the VGA port and one via the digital
video port. It works well, I get accelerated X and wobbly windows and
all that silliness. Guilty pleasure: I like eye candy.
I'd *really* love to do triple head - the monitor in front of me for my
main work, and the two side screens for supporting stuff.
I am wondering, since my motherboard has a four PCI Express x1 ports and
I see PCI Express x1 video cards for decent prices, if I can either
replace my single card with two identical two-port X1 cards, or just add
a single X1 video card to what I already have and get triple head.
Has anyone done this?
Thomas

oovoo.com
by Gregory P. Ennis
Dear List,
I was asked to assist connecting a Fedora linux system for video
conferencing with oovoo.com. It is apparent that they support Mac and
Windows.
Does anyone have any experience in using the Mac installation for oovoo
for Fedora? Can anyone make recommendations for connections that allow
video conferencing with Fedora.
Thanks much

pdfedit for Fedora 16
by Cristian Sava
Hi all,
We needed pdfedit for Fedora 16 and is not avaiable anymore.
It is present in Fedora <= 15
It was easy to rebuild pdfedit-0.4.5-4.fc16.x86_64.rpm and it works
well.
So the question: why was it discontinued for Fedora users?
For those that need it here are the steps:
1 - get pdfedit-0.4.5-4.fc15.src.rpm
2 - extract from it
pdfedit-4.5.4.tar.bz2 pdfedit.spec and pdfedit.desktop
3 - follow the steps shown in
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_an_RPM_package#SPEC_example
and install the packages needed for building process
Good luck!

pm-powersave true not running /etc/pm/power.d/00script
by Pedro Francisco
Hi!
Running "su -c 'pm-powersave true'" (or false) on Fedora 16 seems not
to run /etc/pm/power.d/00script , which according to the man page
seems it is expected to.
00script is marked executable.
Any ideas why it is not running? /var/log/pm-powersave.log is a empty file.
Running /etc/pm/power.d/00script manually works .

F14: X in runlevel 4
by Frank Elsner
Hello all,
I want to use runlevel 4 (same as runlevel 5 but with a small difference in networking).
But how to start X in runlevel 4? Currently it starts only in runlevel 5.
Any pointer(s) welcome.

how to start fvwm from the console command line?
by stan
I'm looking at alternative window managers to Gnome fallback, the only
Gnome my old hardware and work preference will support. The more I
investigate fvwm, the more it seems like a nice stable,
extremely configurable solution to my problem. The modular concept is
great, and the ability to program behavior in a scripting language and
interface seemlessly to the wm seems like a nice idea too. Sure, there
is a learning curve, and no GUI configuration, but I can come to my
perfect setup, and won't need to worry about dependency on the latest
bee someone has in their bonnet about what constitutes a modern GUI.
Well, at least until I updgrade my hardware, and maybe not even then.
There is a problem though. How do I start fvwm from a console? What
is the command for fvwm corresponding to startx or startxfce4? I found
XSESSION=fvwm2 startx -- :1 vt11
and that works, but seems to just start the regular Gnome fallback
mode that startx by itself does. Maybe this is so well known that no
one bothers documenting it, but I couldn't find it on the web.
Anyone have an answer?

Gnome-Shell
by David Quigley
Is there a list anywhere of supported hardware for gnome-shell? I've
tried it on 3 computers so far and none of them work. The first was
VMWare which I've seen isn't supported so I wrote that off. The second
was a dell optiplex 790 with on-board intel accelerated graphics. The
final one is an optiplex 960 with a Radeon HD 3450 in it. Is there
something wrong with the setup or is gnome-shell really that selective
about hardware even after its been in two Fedora releases?

Process: 3741 ExecStart=/etc/rc.d/init.d/nxserver start
