Weird transparency in display
by Beartooth
Running F22 in either rescue or normal mode, I have a problem
that I don't see how to attack. When I click on anything that is supposed
to bring up a menu, it seems to -- but so faintly that I can't read any
of it. How do I remedy this??

fedup to F22 issues
by Stephen Davies
I have just run
fedup --network 22
and have several issues as a result.
1. PostgreSQL databases were not upgraded from 9.3 to 9.4 and subsequent
attempts to do this manually fail due to locale differences (AU vs US).
(I have requested help on the PostgreSQL list).
2. Amavisd-new no longer works due to issues with PERL.
This seems to be a result of updating PERL from 5.18 to 5.20 breaking a bunch
of modules.
I thought that I had resolved these by following the hints in cpan error
messages but cannot install Net::LibIDN because idna.h is missing.
I am forced to run without spam or virus checking as a result.
3. All of my local sendmail aliases disappeared causing many inbound emails to
be rejected.
I manually rebuilt /etc/mail/aliases to fix this.
4. After rebooting to F22, I had only one workspace.
I reconfigured to four via settings but now I get apparently random blank
screen with just the mouse cursor visible. Not even a task bar.
The only way that I have found to get my work spaces back is to logout and
login again.
5. Some fonts (particularly within Wine apps??) have changed and are much less
readable than before.
MyHeritage Family Tree Builder is one example. I have no idea which fonts were
used in F21 nor in F22.
I'd be grateful for any help in resolving these.
Cheers,
Stephen

F22 and missing font Courier New 10
by Gregory P. Ennis
Everyone,
I created a new install of F22 64 and to my surprise the 'courier New
10' is missing from Libreoffice. Does anyone have an rpm replacement.
I have a bunch of documents that use this font and would like to
continue it. There are some other fonts that are close, but none that
is an exact duplicate which means the formatting will need to be
different on the new or edited old documents.
Thanks much,
Greg Ennis

Fedora-23beta to Fedora-23
by Timothy Murphy
I am running Fedora-23beta.
What action exactly do I need to take when Fedora-23 comes out,
hopefully next Tuesday?

Bluetooth woes (again)
by Patrick O'Callaghan
Once again my BT mouse is acting up and I have no idea why. I've been
using it with no problems for months, through successive updates to the
kernel, and it has Just Worked. Then suddenly it doesn't. The
configuration dialogues (on both Gnome and KDE) see the mouse and give
its Mac address, show it as paired, trusted and not blocked, but say
it's "unreachable". The mouse has adequate battery and power cycling
makes no difference.
My BT adaptor is a Broadcom dongle. It has up to date firmware (as of a
couple of months ago).
This has happened several times in the past (e.g. see
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/users/2014-March/447579.html)
and just as suddenly seems to fix itself, sometimes after several days
of complete frustration.
This is F22 fully updated, using both kernel-4.1.8-200.fc22.x86_64 and
kernel-4.2.3-200.fc22.x86_64
The mouse has never failed on my other system, a laptop running Fedora
21 but with a builtin BT adaptor.
If anyone has something to suggest, I'm all ears.
