I have problem installing VirtualBox Guest Additions. My host is 5.0.7-200.fc29.x86_64
And when I run the VGA installer on the guest system I get:
[erik@localhost VBox_GAs_6.0.4]$ sudo ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Perhaps someone on this list has overcome this problem and would explain what I did
wrong? The /var/log/vboxadd-setup.log was of no help.

Sometimes when I run x2go, the remote desktop
window will come up with a name for itself
Other times it will come up with a name like:
Anyone have any idea why it sometimes chooses one
and sometimes the other (like I said, just
curiosity - nothing earth shattering depends
on the answer :-).
And more importantly, why is it having a cow with kernel 5.0.5 on one, just
one, of my servers:
Apr 9 17:48:44 monster dbus-daemon: [system] Failed to activate
service 'org.freedesktop.UDisks2': timed out (service_start_timeout=25000ms)
kernel 5.0.4 is ok. kernel 5.0.5 is ok on other machines. But on this
machine, this mystery box fails to open. This is what's responsible for
various silly things that Thunar was doing, on my XFCE desktop.
Googling brings up a bunch of stuff, but very vague, and doesn't really help
me knowing where to look next. My only glimmer of hope, is that booting
5.1.0 from rawhide on the same server appears not to have this issue, so
this is probably fixed already/maybe/perhaps/i-hope-so.
What are the alternatives to pdftk?
I need to rotate a pdf file.

without changes to my configuration suddenly all logwatch cron jobs show up

I have a qemu-kvm virtual machine (VM) of Ubuntu. I have
two programs that won't run in Fedora installed in it.
I know about "ssh -X11" and occasionally use it in other
situations. But X11 is slow and clunky.
Is there a better way to run a local windows of a program
in a VM?
First-time making an install CD (Fedora 30 from Fedora 28)
Following the instructions for verifying a downloaded image from
$ curl https://getfedora.org/static/fedora.gpg | gpg --import
Now, verify that the CHECKSUM file is valid:
$ gpg --verify-files *-CHECKSUM
No *CHECKUM in the download directory. So, where are they?
After updating my system yesterday, I noticed that tracker-extract is
crashing a lot and so my journal is flooded by many coredumps.. I wasn't
able to disable it completely, so I need to terminate it every time I
log in with: tracker daemon -t
Is anyone having the same issue?
- tracker: 2.1.8
- tracker-miners: 2.1.6
- Fedora 29 Workstation
I reported a bug here (via Abrt):
got a new laptopP (HP Pavilion 15-CS0989NL).
I have problem with Realtec wifi adapter RTL8821CE which
is not detected at all while BT works fine.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
