NFS and Firewalld -
by Bob Goodwin
My NFS problems continue. The hard drive was replaced, Fedora 30
installed and NFS is configured. I think the configuration is good, I
followed the instructions anyway.
Firewlld appears to be a new stumbling block and I don't know how to fix
it. I looked at the Firewalld GUI and there is nothing intuitive about
it. If I stop Firewlld, showmount displays the exports.
[bobg@box83 ~]$ showmount -e 192.168.2.128
clnt_create: RPC: Unable to receive
"systemctl stop firewalld" on the server:
[bobg@box83 ~]$ showmount -e 192.168.2.128
Export list for 192.168.2.128:
/home 192.168.2.0/24
Any help appreciated.

firefox in f30
by François Patte
Bonjour,
I have just upgraded to f30 from f29.
As I wanted to use firefox, I had a warning: "create a new profile".....
Why I can't use my previous profile?
I tried to create a new profile and: all my bookmarks, all my addons all
my previous config have disappeared.
How can I recover? How can use my old config, bookmarks etc.
Thank you.

f30 some packages have disappeared....
by François Patte
Bonjour,
I use to compile the last version of darktable anytime they make updates
to that software.
Upgrading from f29 to f30, my darktable no more works: libexiv2.so.26
not found... This is normal: it is now libexiv2.so.27. So, I wanted to
recompile darktable but I failed....
On darktable site they give the list of needed packages to compile and a
lot are missing in f30: libsqlite3, gtk+-3, ..... and some others.
As I successfully compiled darktable on f29, I think that these packages
were available in f29 and no more available in f30.
Why?
Thank you.
PS. to solve the libexiv2.so.26 problem I created a link libexiv2.so.26
---> libexiv2.so.27 but is this way of doing is a correct solution?

Fix to stable version of Fedora after system upgrade.
by Cătălin George Feștilă
I want to set the update to a stable version of Fedora distro after I
follow an system upgrade.
I try to follow this https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade
This not work well, the output comes with fc30, fc31, fc32 versions for
packages and loop into this way, see the example:
...
Public key for zvbi-0.2.35-9.fc31.x86_64.rpm is not installed. Failing
package is: zvbi-0.2.35-9.fc31.x86_64
GPG Keys are configured as:
file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-30-x86_64
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful
transaction.
You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.

Gnome Shell crashes when playing sound in Chrome
by SternData
I thought this was a video related, but it turns out to be audio. If I
play a video or audio via Chrome, gnome-shell crashes as soon as I
un-mute the media player. Unfortunately, the crash does not leave a
reportable dump file.
Any ideas of what to look at?

reinstall package on Atomic host
by arnaud gaboury
I run Fedora atomic 29. I made a mistake by removing one very important
SELinux module: su.
I can no more su (I can sudo), which is very annoying. To get back the
module, I need to reinstall the selinux-policy-targeted package.
------------------------------------------
% sudo setenforce 0
% sudo rpm-ostree uninstall selinux-policy-targeted

% rpm -qa | grep selinux

Following this[0] thread, I tried:
----------------------------
% sudo rpm-ostree override remove selinux-policy-targeted

How can I delete/install or reinstall it? Is there a way to get back the su

Unable to install vagrant-scp
by Sudheer Satyanaraana
Hello,
I am on Fedora 30.
I am unable to install the Vagrant plugin vagrant-scp.
I get this error:

Bundler, the underlying system Vagrant uses to install plugins,
reported an error. The error is shown below. These errors are usually
caused by misconfigured plugin installations or transient network
issues. The error from Bundler is:
conflicting dependencies fog-core (~> 1.43.0) and fog-core (= 2.1.2)
Activated fog-core-2.1.2
which does not match conflicting dependency (~> 1.43.0)
Conflicting dependency chains:
fog-core (= 2.1.2), 2.1.2 activated
versus:
vagrant-libvirt (> 0), 0.0.41 activated, depends on
fog-core (~> 1.43.0)
As you can see, there's an issue resolving dependencies. How do I go
about resolving this issue?

Breakpoints not working with Kdevelop on fc31
by jeandet
Hi there,
I switched to Kdevelop recently, so I'm not an advanced user yet.
On fc31 I can't get breakpoints to work, I did some tests:
- on fc30 it works (tested same with the same code)
- use gdb manually on the same binary, it works (on fc31)
- tested appimage version -> does not work (on fc31)
- tested on fc31 different codes building with either Meson or CMake,
nothing works
- The program run in debug mode with kdevelop, only breakpoints doesn't
work
Both fc31 and fc30 seems to have the same kdevelop version:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=513
So I'm quite lost, in order to submit a bug report I have to find the
faulty package here, does anyone has any hints here?
Best regards,
Alexis.

jekyll's bundler can't install dependency (Ruby)

Hello,
The packages rubygem-jekyll and rubygem-bundler installed without
visible errors and the initial "jekyll new <dir>" worked too. But
"bundle exec jekyll serve" results in this error:

Run `bundle install` to install missing gems.
Following that hint results in:
