I've noticed in system log the following message popping up from time
gnome-shell: libinput error: event5 - Kingsis mouse: client bug:
event processing lagging behind by 21ms, your system is too slow
What should I do about? What is the actual problem? Is my mouse too old
and needs to be replaced? It is not a bluetooth mouse, but one with a
I just installed mediawriter and noticed it is a Qt app. What
other popular apps are Qt in Fedora ?
I just read a year old article about that topic, about the adwaita-qt
thing, trying to make Qt apps look like gtk apps.
As of September 2020 and beyond, what is the general trend
about this topic ? Gnome apps have come along way right ?
Which ones are still better or preferred by Qt / KDE lovers ?
Krita ? Kdenlive ?
Are Qt5 apps lighter ? snappier ? or easier to code than the gtk 3
<y NFS is storing data in "/" instead of "home", what do i have wrong?
'df -h" shows the following:
/dev/mapper/fedora_localhost--live-root 69G 67G 0 100% /
tmpfs 1.8G 8.0K 1.8G 1% /tmp
/dev/sda2 976M 254M 655M 28% /boot
/dev/mapper/fedora_localhost--live-home 3.6T 4.8G 3.4T 1% /home
I need to fix it. I don't know where to look for my mistake, Obviously I
want to store files in the 3.4 TB partition not root.
Any help appreciated, Bob

I now have six man-hours of web-surfing and emailing and playing
FreeCell and Mahjonng on my new Ryzen 3 1200AF computer,
( with Rawhide as the only OS. )
Rawhide got the new point-release of *systemd* today and has lots
of Gnome 3.38.0.x stuff now.
Based on my experience with the new Ryzen 3 1200AF, that is all one needs
if they are not doing anything fancy on their computer. The four
cores are churning at around 15% while several Firefox tabs are open
and a YouTube video is playing.
And right around 2.19 GB of RAM.
I was only able to get the RAM up to 2733 MHz, but that might
be due to me not having any clue how to properly over-clock the
RAM. My RAM profile is 3200. It might have something to do
with the Ryzen 3 1200 or the slots that I chose to put the memory sticks.
way, it is all over my I.Q., and not a concern at the moment.
I have not yet tried to over-clock the Ryzen 3, but I have a huge
air-cooler, so maybe someday.
Power Color Radeon 5500XT seems to be a good choice if you
can find one on sale, and you just want value. I won't be
able to post any gaming results.
I can only imagine next summer, people using Fedora 34, on
a really inexpensive Ryzen 3 computer. Hopefully, by then
I will still be in Rawhide, but on a Ryzen 5 or 7, with a 5700XT,
cause I like to be on the cutting edge when I play FreeCell. LOL !

I was wondering if I could use my android tablet for drawing in Fedora?
There are a few apps on the google market allowing to send the commands,
for example, to host:port, but it requires drivers on the computer side. Is
there a solution for fedora? I'm specifically interested in using it for

My Fedora network is:
Usually I run wayland, then I can share the laptop to the desktop.
If I try to share the desktop to the laptop after password request i get a
blak screen (but the mouse arrow is visible). If I start a Xorg session I
can share the desktop to the laptop even if it is ugly. any hint???
Linux Fedora 32
I did an update this morning on my FC32 system and as there was a
kernel update I rebooted the system, it didn't come back up properly
and instead dropped me into the emergency shell.
I've had a quick look around and can't see anything obvious to explain
why it is doing this?
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot why it's dropping me into the
emergency shell so I can try to fix what's going on?
When I run:
qemu-img convert https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/32/Cloud/x86... disk.img
It fails with the following message:
qemu-img: curl: The requested URL returned error: 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable
qemu-img: error while reading sector 2560: Input/output error
Seems like maybe the http server is not configured properly. I couldn't find a better place to report the issue.
I'm not sure how widespread this is, but I recommend being cautious
about updating the kernel if you're using "Intel Rapid Storage" RAID.
(I.e. make sure that you have console access so that you can boot the
previous kernel if necessary.)

With online instruction for large classes continuing into the near future, I am looking at writing tablets and wondering if any of these can be
integrated into Fedora. My examples are from:
I am not sure if these can do what I am hoping that they can, but I am thinking of something hooked to my machine that is essentially like an
Elmo and can be "projected" via a share screen (using zoom) and recorded (using, say, simplescreenrecorder).
Do these things exist? Any suggestions? I do not want to give up my current machine, and buying an unnecessary tablet laptop because that would
fragment my workspace (computer).
Many thanks and best wishes,
