Spoke too soon.  YouTube and Reddit are both very slow, esp. for typing.

I think I found the problem.  That battery in my wireless keyboard was low.   Interesting thing is... it didn't affect all applications the same.  Some were much slower and others weren't really affected.  Interesting.

Hard to tell, just from what you've given us.  Do you see this in any
other programs?  Does Firefox tend to go dark when it slows down?
