Yes, you are correct, I botched that ... I confused ~/.bashrc and /home.bobg/.bashrc

After correcting that it is:

[bobg@Workstation-1 ~]$ cat ~/.bashrc
# .bashrc

# Source global definitions
if [ -f /etc/bashrc ]; then
	. /etc/bashrc
fi

# User specific environment
if ! [[ "$PATH" =~ "$HOME/.local/bin:$HOME/bin:" ]]
then
    PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$HOME/bin:$PATH"
fi
export PATH

# Uncomment the following line if you don't like systemctl's auto-paging feature:

However after rebooting the computer Thunderbird time is still displayed in the 12 hour AM/PM format on this 
f-31 computer.
