Are you going to change your email accounts every time some spammer
starts using the address? My email address has been used by virii and
spam for at least 15 years. It was funny because when this started to
be a thing, I got a few emails from people telling me to stop sending
them a virus.
I've had the same experience.
I've been using the same personal address since internet reached the city where
I lived (3 decades). My address ended up in the ghostscript documentation,
so has been harvested by spammers many times. There were a few times
that spam messages were coming faster than I could delete them, so
incoming mail was bouncing, but I was also getting legitimate requests for
help with ghostscript issues. My collection of spam messages was useful
to tweak filters.
One note: I do look at Reply-To header lines. Most of the spam I get
is blocking messages where the Reply-To address is suspicious.
