If you want to scoop all the logs up for analysis say in the event of a fault there are other tools to do that, for e.g. the sos package in Fedora provides the sosreport script that does exactly this (and is sometimes used to collect logs from multiple hosts - e.g. RHEV's LogCollector.sh does this).
