Hello,
As I already reported, every time that I turn off the machine, I cannot use the printer. Every thing seems OK, but no output. I have to remove the printer and installed it. I does not work before I make pass:
Queue needs to be reconfigured "HP-Laser-P1500" is not configured using hp-setup utility. Click remove and Setup to remove and reconfigure queue.
and then answer to the questions.
Thank for your help.

Hello Ed,
I did this in private. But it did not help. Hence, I should probably submit it to bugzilla.
Thank.

If Tim Waugh can't help you, then nobody can. He did ask you to file a bugzilla as the best option.
In any event..... I noticed the message "HP-Laser-P1500" is not configured using hp-setup utility" Is that a "true" statement? And if it is a true statement, then why don't you use the HP Utilities with hplip? I've used those and have had no problems over the years.

I am not sure that there is not confusion.

Thank to tell me!

Yes, it is what can read.
And if it is a true statement, then why don't you use the HP Utilities with hplip? Then I do not understand. I use the fedora tools, probably cups to add the printer. When I use the HP tools. the printer seems working: printer active, etc.... I "can" print, but there is no output. Then. using fedora, the only way to have the printer really working is to remove the printer (using "-") and to add it again (using "+"). It is when the statement "HP-Laser-P1500" is not configured using hp-setup utility" comes up. For me this statment is generated by hp-setup (device discovery)! What should I do? I am confused.
I've used those and have had no problems over the years.

I have a difficult time to read some of your replies since proper quoting is happening.....
I think I may have had an "AH HA" moment.....
Some HP Laser printers require the installation of a "Plugin" due to proprietary software. See....

After installing the printer (I really recommend using the HP utility hp-setup) you may need to run hp-plugin to install the plugins for you. This may then allow the printer to actually print.

Hello Ed,
Thank, I installed the plugin and run it but, again after a reboot, I have to reinstall the printer from hp-setup!

I think it is time you file the bugzilla and provide the information requested by Tim Waugh. When you do, please post the bugzilla id here.
