Hi All,
FC 29 X64 (not 32)
I have a web site that requires the flash plugin. Anyone know how to get Flash to work in Brave? Pepper Flash?

I do have the following installed, but Brave does not seem to pick it up:
# ls -al /usr/lib64/chromium-browser/PepperFlash/ total 18328 drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 4096 Apr 5 14:25 . drwxr-xr-x. 7 root root 36864 Dec 5 11:23 .. -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 18715584 Dec 5 11:23 libpepflashplayer.so -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 2222 Dec 5 11:23 manifest.json

Brave isn't distributed by Fedora, is it?
Have you though about going to https://brave.com/the-brave-community/ ?

True. I posted over here when I did not get an answer back from over there.
Google this is useless, as folks don't date their paper and 99.9% prefect of what you find is defunct.
If I ever figure it out, I will post it back.
I wish Flash would just go away and HTML5 take it place, but I don't get a vote.

Well, https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018163151-How-do-I-manage-Fla... seems to suggest they support the Adobe Flash-Plugins.
I guess you already have
flash-player-ppapi-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64 flash-plugin-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64
Installed?

Hi Ed,
No, just pepper flash.
What am I doing wrong here?
# dnf install flash-player-ppapi-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64 flash-plugin-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64 ... No match for argument: flash-player-ppapi-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64 No match for argument: flash-plugin-32.0.0.156-release.x86_64 Error: Unable to find a match
Many thanks, -T

The plugins are not distributed by Fedora. You need the Adobe Repo
https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2010/install-adobe-flash-player-10-on...
is one of many places describing the procedure.

Hi Ed,
Thank you! I did not see that.
I will use it as a last resort if I can not get Pepper Flash to work. It is 64 bit.

Don't have much choice as they do the external penetration probes from several of my PCI (payment card industry) clients.
An oh you don't know the criticism Trust Wave get for being a security company and using Flash. They "say" they are working on HTML5, but that is hog wash. They constantly shake teh finger at everyone else, but when it comes to them ...

Actually you don't need the "--ppapi-flash-version=32.0.0.114"
$ brave-browser-stable --ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib64/chromium-browser/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so --password-store=basic %U
And you don't need Adobe's stuff either. You just need to install chromium
