User WikiNames and FAS

A thought about FAS2 and wiki integration: Since wiki editing is tied in with FAS2 and CLA signing, it'd be nice to integrate them nicely (click-through CLAs are already implemented in FAS2), but one annoyance is that WikiNames do not generally match usernames. Other than for (weakly) connecting wiki usernames to FAS users, is there any particular reason that we're going with the FirstnameLastname convention? Would it somehow be "bad" for users to have the same username for FAS and the wiki in the future? Thanks, Ricky

I am at work on a Windows machine and http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ is rendering with a gap between the main body and the right-sidebar in Firefox 2.0.0.8, Internet Explorer 6.0 and Safari 3.0.3. Looks like it may be due to the Sub-Projects' table pusing over onto the right-sidebar. Patrick

How comes that I get always your fedora screen when trying to reach one of my favorite. I have never requested or installed your product. I do not find in your home page any description on how to get out of this nightmare. Please help. I want to cancel for good your home page access.

Comment for fedoraproject.org

Hi, I just wanted to quickly (and I mean quickly) check on fedora.redhat.com (which redirects to fedoraproject.org) when the next fedora release is planned. On the homepage I read about current Fedora 7, release notes of F7, and the link to learn more about F7. Get Fedora is not what I want (I have F7 already of course) Join Fedora is also not what I want Docs: no, I don't want docs, I want to know about the plans when F8 will be released, or how the beta status is Wiki: hmmm... maybe, if you like it complicated, maybe I find here what I seek. but no link that told me "here is what you're looking for" Planet: Planet? ok, the description says "The voices of the Fedora Community", but I don't want to hear the community (right now) Communicate, Speak with Fedora: ummm no, not what I want Is there not an easier and faster way to get some infos about planned new releases then to dig deeply in wiki's and forums etc? By the way, I like the fedoraproject.org web site. It's simple and easy, not overloaded with pictures and text. But when I don't find what I am looking for in a reasonable time, then.... That is a test page included with our operating system; we don't actually control the site in question. For more information about this, please refer to http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ServerTestPage. If you would like to contact the owner of that domain, you should be able to find their contact information in a WHOIS lookup. (Use a site like http://www.whois.sc/). Thanks, Ricky
