Changing Background Image?
by Frank Murphy
What would be the best way to link:
/usr/share/xfce4/backdrops/*
Xfce uses this.
and
/usr/share/backgrounds/*
Fedora uses this
to make it easier to
chagee background images.
Both are existing Directories,
with files and or sub-dirs.

Default theme
by Raphael Groner
Is that right? IMHO Fedora has more than one default theme! Well, and how much time is needed for two more clicks? Good troll. :D
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/xfce-lightweight-speedy-fullyfledged-linux-d... says:
"For this tour I’ll be using the popular Ubuntu spin known as Xubuntu (pronounced Zu-buntu), although it is available on most popular distributions such as Fedora. Xubuntu, however, has a pleasant default theme while Fedora’s XFCE spin doesn’t. That, of course, is all customizable once it has been installed, but I did not have the time to do all of the tweaking that I would normally have liked to do."

xfce-weather-plugin stopped working
by Heiko Adams
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi,
yesterday in the afternoon the xfce-weather-plugin suddenly stopped
working and allways displays "No Data". Trying to switch my location
or update my fedora 16 against updates-testing also didn't solve that
problem.
Is it just me or a general problem

Fedora 16 Final RC4 desktop testing requested
by Adam Williamson
Hey folks - sorry to impose on you again, but we accepted two proposed
blockers in F16 RC3, so we have an RC4 that needs testing. RC4 also
fixes the gdm bug which broke the Xfce spin in RC3. Aside from that, I'd
really just expect RC4 results to be the same as RC3, but since RC4
touches kernel, gdm and dracut, we'd better double-check!
You can get RC4 here:
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/16.RC4/
and the results page is here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_16_Final_RC4_Desktop
Please help out if you can. One way or another this is definitely the
last rush job this go-round: either we approve RC4 at the go/no-go
tomorrow afternoon, or we slip a week, which would at least give us lots
of time to complete testing...but let's not do that! :)
Thanks, everyone.
