No xfce4-indicator-plugin for Fedora?
by Stefan Seil
Hello there!
I have recently switched from Xubuntu to Fedora on my main machine and I am missing the xfce4-indicator-plugin. It is neither available in the official repositories nor in RPMFusion. It seems to be an official part of the XFCE project, though; at least it is listed on the XFCE website: http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-indicator-plugin
For reference, this is a plugin for the XFCE panel that displays information from several applications in the panel. For example, it can display information about incoming mail or new messages from instant messaging services. Is there a particular reason why there is no package for this plugin in Fedora?
Thanks,
Stefan

thank you for fedora-xfce
by Gour
Hello,
the other day I did switch from GNOME to Xfce on my Debian (Sid) desktop
machine and asked on IRC about some recommendation which distro ise
Xfce-friendly and several people suggested Fedora besides some other
distro I already spent sufficient time with.[1]
Moreover, another user which I appreciate a lot also told me he is
Fedora user…Did some reading, few test installs under vbox (trying
VoidLinux, openSUSE Leap/Tumbleweed, Fedora 24/25-beta) and today ended
wit f25-beta on my 2nd machine (netbook).
Here I want to thank all the people who helped me “discovering” Fedora
after many years I spent with Linux. It is superb distro, very serious
and polished one and, for me, it’s kind of “sweet spot” between
traditional distros with old/stale packages (ala Debian stable) and
rolling distros ala Debian/Sid, openSUSE Tumbleweed etc.
Afaict, Fedora’s upgrade policy seems as great mechanism!
Finally, I’m thankful to all of you taking care about Fedora/Xfce
considering it’s not the 1st choice of Fedora users, but Xfce
definetely deserves to be available for such a fine distro. ;)
Sincerely,
Gour
Footnotes:
[1] I am Linux user since ’99…started with SUSE, then spent more than
10yrs with Gentoo and Arch (almost 50/50% of time), then Debian, some
dabbling with Free/PC-BSD, then some more openSUSE and finally Debian.

Fedora 25 xfce4-terminal tab size
by Philip Rhoades
People,
I have just installed F25 and xfce4-terminal and there have been some
changes to the program but I find the height of the tabs is about twice
what it should be - ie it should be the same size as the menu bar.
There does not appear to be any way for me to adjust it myself?
Thanks,
Phil.
