Hi,
upower doesn't make much sense when there's systemd with enabled
power management features. Does the xfce4-power-manager package
depend on upower? I am asking cause there's a feature request (*) to
let xfpm inhibit systemd's power functions. Not sure if xfce4-session
can handle standby and hibernate via systemd without upower. You
should disable power management in /etc/systemd/logind.conf to
prevent systemd from taking a second standby or suspend action in
some circumstances. $ grep Handle /etc/systemd/logind.conf
HandlePowerKey=ignore HandleSuspendKey=ignore
HandleHibernateKey=ignore
HandleLidSwitch=ignore
-R.

I'm not sure what you are asking here... can you rephrase?
We cannot directly modify the defaults in logind.conf... that would be
something for the end user. Our choices are to add a inhibit to session
(which I don't like), or get xfce4-power-manager to handle inhibiting
(which I think is the correct solution).
