The vision was, I guess, for each common-replica to have a connection with its
own downstream client's replica, in order to not exceed 4 replication
agreements per replica.
You might consider a replication hub and spoke model. Where all replication
agreements point to the replication hub nodes.
perhaps something like this would improve replication performance?
