Abbreviations make sense when the long name is unwieldy,
"Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 UK: Scotland" is abbreviated to
"CC BY-SA 2.5 SCOTLAND".
But "copyleft-next" as a string already is shorter than "CC BY-SA 2.5
SCOTLAND", even if you include a full "x.x.x" version. So, does it
really need abbreviating? ;-)
Good point. Syllable-wise it is already quite short ("copyleft-next"
and "the GPL" both have four syllables). OTOH textually
"copyleft-next" is significantly longer than "GPLvn", etc.
