Additionally to what pfrields said, as these requests (fcommunity)
normally pass also through the Websites Trac, I remember you filing
similar requests in the past:

discuss/2013-September/012129.html
But I remember also other discussions, in which we gave you the advice to
try to use a common website, as splitting local communities is not really
useful for the Fedora Project itself.
Therefor it would be the best if you use the actual website which has the
http://id.fedoracommunity.org alias to add your new web-app. In any case,
if this is not possible (please try to find a common point in your
community) and you choose to buy a separate domain, you need to sign the
[

License agreement] before you buy that domain, as stated in Paul's link
above.
Finally, it's not that who comes first will keep the
xx.fedoracommunity.org domain forever. If the actual page is not
maintained anymore (I see there are some dead sections and a very old news
link) the alias can be riassigned as smooge said. In the past I've setup a
short
[

(unofficial) draft] to help local communities to find the best solution.
Maybe it can be useful here and my two cents can help the Council to have
a better view of this thread.
