It happens from time to time/ I had a terminal open, 3 browsers (firefox, slimjet and brave), filezilla and when it happened I was starting a filezilla upload to a remote server. It doesn't look related to any of those programs when it happens, it just happens. A popup message telling me that cinnamon may have crashed and that's it, I restart it, and all my programs are back into business.
