Obviously we looked for FOSS options first last year and came up pretty short on workable
options. I don't recall whether we looked at Pentabarf specifically (what a name!),
but I'm a little concerned about the likelihood of success using a project whose
mailing list link is broken and last update was four years ago.
It also seems to lack a mobile version of the site or an app in the
various app stores. I could be wrong, so if I am please correct me.
It's hard to tell from the site.
While the app aspect is still along the lines of "non-FLOSS
ecosystem", ignoring mobile seems like a pretty major oversight.
People use their mobile devices for many things, and I recall several
people being happy to have the Flock schedule easily accessible via
their phone last year.
