I can confirm I've also experienced this. It appears to be some problem with
JLine compatiability with the Gnome3 terminal.
If I add the boot flag: -Djline.terminal=jline.UnsupportedTerminal to
disable JLine then the console will allow me to type but is missing most of
the features it needs to be a usefull console (no history, can't move the
cursor etc.)
This is using FC20 x86_64 with Gnome3.
It appears to work fine using XFCE instead of Gnome3.
My mistake it still doesn't work if I install XFCE and try and run it from the
XFCE terminal.
