totem-pl-parser wasn't forked to match totem, it was instead forked to
drop a humongous dependency chain.

it was branched before you trimmed the dependencies. I really would like to
work out how we could spit out -minimal packages from the main ones so that
you could use either. maybe a kde user wants totem without pulling in half of
gnome ;)
