I have had success with the 'creator' field. That might have what you are
looking for.
Usually a 'bugzilla --debug query ...' helps me figure out the mapping of
one field to the data given through the api.
Could also be that you aren't logged into bugzilla... when you aren't logged
in for
bugzilla.redhat.com at least, the reporter/creator field is the user's
name like 'Cole Robinson', but when logged in the field will be
crobinso(a)redhat.com
