Re: Heads up: packages with Patch:/%patch0 or Patch0:/%patch issues in Rawhide
by Terje Røsten
I have rebuilt extrema and and bontmia (with patch0 issue fixed),
please tag these for F10 release if they was to late to get included in
the normal way.
Builds are here:
extrema:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=63693
bontmia:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=63695
Thanks in advance
Special thanks to Ville for the heads up!

[Fedora Release Engineering] #821: f10-beta tag request: phonon-4.2.0-5.fc10

This changes Phonon to specifically require the xine backend instead of
any backend because it's the default backend in upstream KDE 4.1 and the
one we have been testing since 4.0. The intention was always for the xine
backend to be the default, but yum was picking the gstreamer one as the
default (because it's built from the Phonon SRPM whereas the xine backend
is built from kdebase-runtime). The Phonon GStreamer backend currently has
trouble with PulseAudio, so in the interest of having sound "just work" in
the beta, it would be great to have this tagged for the beta. The
dependency change is the only change.

XIM is not working with the current imsettings/libgxim packages in
rawhide, so could you please tag the following builds by tagoh for
f10-beta:
libgxim-0.2.0-1.fc10
imsettings-0.104.0-1.fc10
im-chooser-1.2.3-1.fc10
They fix the following bugs:
Bug 457635 - gtk will not pick up right im module in kde desktop session
Bug 457901 - Problems entering 8-bit characters in various programs
Bug 460695 - malformed desktop file
and should help with
Bug 460703 - multiple status icons for Input Method displayed
I and some others have tested them and they seem to work well enough and
fix XIM input.

Please tag the gvfs-0.99.8-4.fc10 build for final F10 release.
These updated packages include important fix allowing proper Kerberos
authentication to Samba servers.
I've checked the tags and the last version of gvfs tagged for final
release was gvfs-0.99.7.1-3.fc10. There were several bugfix releases
meanwhile with important fixes to SMB backend.
Packages contain upstream patches which have been tested on pool of Samba
servers.
Possible F10 blockers fixed by this release: #443689

#819: update audit package for beta1 to 1.7.7

Milestone: Fedora 10 Beta | Component: koji

* Rationale for why the change is important enough to be allowed in after
the feature freeze.
The audit 1.7.6 package has 3 important fixes. 1) tcp_wrappers code had a
typo in the define that caused it to not be compiled in for remote audit
servers. 2) gssapi was not filtering the principals and might be usable in
tmp file attack 3) and remote logging did not work on 64 bit machines
* Impact of *not* accepting the feature at this point of the schedule.
Might get bug reports of things fixed and no testing of remote logging on
64 bit systems. Not to mention the security aspect for anyone doing remote
logging.
* Information on what testing you've already done on the feature to
help reduce the risk.
I spent last 2 days working on it and testing until remote logging was
verified working. gssapi code has been through 2 code reviews to make sure
its up to par now.

We need to get libgcrypt-1.4.3-1.fc10 tagged for f10-beta if possible. The
previous version of libgcrypt (1.4.2) had serious regression breaking most
applications using it such as prelude.
The changes between 1.4.2 and 1.4.3 are minimal.

Need to revert koffice2 -> koffice1, since it just isn't going to be ready
in time for F10 (at request of upstream). Introduced Epoch, tested
build/upgrade.
+1 here.

please remove ivman
by Patrice Dumas
Hello,
ivman was built by mistake, although I intended to retire it.
It should only be in built in devel. Please remove it from there.
I should have retired it properly, now.

perl-RPM2 dead package
by Marcela Mašláňová
Could you remove perl-RPM2 from collection of F-10? It can't be build
with rpm-libs-4.x.x, I assume it won't be fixed by upstream.
