Detail: Key (id)=(10301) is still referenced from table
"rhq_operation_history".
This makes updating plugins somewhat problematic. We are bundling our
service specific plugins into rpms for deployment and this behavior
would break updates via rpm. Is there any way around this?

Migration from RHQ 3.0 to RHQ 4.x

Hello,
We currently have a number of systems monitored with RHQ 3, and we'd like to
promote a migration to RHQ 4, but I could not find enough documentation in
RHQ site as for the migration to the new version. Is there a how to or we
can simply install on top of the existing database with existing metrics?

problem installing a custom JMX plugin when the defaultInterval is < 30000

Hello All,
I am trying to get some JMX metrics into RHQ. All works fine but I have some trouble installing the JMX plugin whith a defaultInterval lower than 30000 (a custom-jmx-plugin-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar.fixme is left in the update directory when clicking on "scan for updates" in RHQ's Administration tab).
A JMX plugin with the following metrics inside deploys:

defaultInterval="30000"
description="Time between the first and request and the last response."/>

bundles to non-platforms

I need to ask a question of those folks using the bundle/provisioning
feature in RHQ.
Is anyone using the feature where you can have a *MIXED* group of
platforms and deploy a bundle via a single destination to that mixed group.
When I say "mixed" group of platforms, I mean you have a group of N
platforms where those N platforms are of different types of machines -
like Linux + Windows machines or HP-UX + Linux or some combination like
that.
Or, do you only ever use a group with N platforms of the same type (like
all Linux machines, or all Windows machines).
In my implementation of
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644328 (as of right now)
that feature will no longer be possible so I need to know if I should
worry about this.
If you want to deploy a bundle to a group of linux boxes AND a group of
windows boxes, in the new code, you'd have to define two different
destinations (one to the group of linux and one to the group of
windows). That probably sounds like something you'd be doing anyway, but
the fact is it is possible today to deploy a bundle to a single
destination that goes to a heterogeneous group of platforms and I need
to know if anyone is actually doing this and cares to keep that kind of
functionality.

RHQ Documentation Updates

I updated all the screenshots from RHQ user documentation wiki (http://www.rhq-project.org/display/JOPR2/Home) with news ones taken from RHQ 4.0. In some cases, I had to slightly update the text for the screenshot because of changes in UI and/or functionality. If by any chance I missed something, please let me know and I will be more than glad to update the page/s.
The new RHQ UI is eye-candy :)

Custom UI?

Hi,
We are in the process of developing new centralized management system
for our product. While doing research related to that I came across RHQ
project and am very happy to see that it has all the features that we want
like inventory, monitoring, configuration, operations, events etc.
I am thinking of using RHQ as a base for our management application. But
we are interested in building Custom UI as per customer requirement. So can
you please let me know is it possible to have RHQ server as base but to have
different UI for that? Are there any APIs available to build own UI?
If it is not possible to have custom UI, can I modify exiting UI to add
information related to our product etc.?
