If you haven't checked it out yet I've been toying with gemcutter.org's
subscriptions. When combined with the RSS feed from your dashboard it
seems like a pretty good way to be notified of new releases.

This should be on our wiki page somewhere, under "Tips & Tricks" or
something ;-)
