Debugging issues with aws container tests?

I've got an open PR and some of the checks are failing around AWS e2e. I'm currently at a loss as to how to debug this failure (so I can make necessary changes so that all checks pass and this PR can get merged). I'd really like to get the bulk of these changes merged so I can make proper use of them.
