GNU/Linux day at ENISo, Sousse - Tunisia
by Ilyes Gouta
Hi,
We'll be giving (myself and Zied Fakhfakh; two Fedora Ambassadors
User:Ilyes and User:Fzied) a presentation about Fedora the
distribution and the project at ENISo, a local Engineering school in
Sousse, Tunisia.
This has been in the works for a while now and we arranged for the
meeting to happen next week, Wed 9/5.
The idea was at first to do a special Fedora (half) day event, but
then we thought to enlarge the scope and get also the local Ubuntu and
OpenSuse representatives on board too for a an event called 'GNU/Linux
Distributions day at ENISo'; so that students get the most benefit out
of it. Attached is the poster we're going to use for the event.
I've already previously ordered F16 media
(https://fedorahosted.org/emea-swag-tracking/ticket/96) which I
received and will be distributing after the presentation.
I'll be creating a wiki page for the event later on.
Thanks,
-Ilyes

Goodbye Fedora (from Italy)
by Alexjan Carraturo
With this mail, I communicate my decision to cease all cooperation
with the Fedora Project.
I will not elaborate much about the reasons, which I'll explain better
in the future somewhere.
While I realize how little it can import to most of those who read, I
reiterate that I let Fedora as a gesture of utter disapproval of the
project management.
The Fedora Project and its community have changed significantly over
the years, and has lost some important persons of reference.
For a while, I tried to make my contribution to change this, but this
was not possible.
I want to thank all the people with whom I had the pleasure of working
in the past and in particular some very good elements of the Italian
community of Fedora.
sincerely
Alexjan Carraturo
P. S. : Hence by little will remove all my subscriptions to the
various Fedora lists. If you need to contact me you can do it in
private.
