Bonjour à tous!
Yesterday, the 5th of June, French Fedoristas gathered in the
Carrefour
Numérique of la Cité des Sciences [1] for the Rencontres Fedora 13.
The release party welcomed 150 visitors, who came to get help
installing
or using Fedora 13, or simply meet the Fedora contributors and have a
good time.
Aside from this, Emmanuel Seyman gave a talk on Zarafa, I lead a small
class on Linux administration, and Kevin Raymond lead one on LaTeX.
We distributed lots of Fedora swags: Fedora 13 live media, Tshirts,
USB
sticks, pens, badges, stickers,...
Besides the 3 aforementioned persons, several people made this event a
success:
- Tom Dubin, who traveled 200km to give a hand welcoming the visitors
- Matthieu Gautier, a long time Fedora ambassador
- Nicolas Chauvet, our Wifi/RPMFusion specialist
- Bertrand Juglas, a new ambassador and translator
- Vincent-Xavier Jumel from Parinux for the logistics help
- David Forgeron from la Cité des Sciences, who prepared everything
from
their side to make the event run as smooth as possible
Now is time for gathering feedback about the event and start
organizing
an even more awesomer Rencontres Fedora 14. :)
Cheers,
[1] La Cité des Sciences (« City of Sciences ») is a french

which the Rencontres Fedora, Ubuntu-Parties, Mandriva-Parties,...
