Implementation of xrdp backend as Xorg modules
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Release notes for xrdp v0.10.0 (2024/05/10)
This section notes changes since the v0.10 branch was created.
General announcements
The biggest news of this release is that Graphic Pipeline Extension also called
GFX in short has been supported. xrdp v0.10 with GFX achieves more frame rates
and less bandwidth compared to v0.9. There is a significant performance
improvement especially if the client is Windows 11's mstsc.exe or Microsoft
Remote Desktop for Mac. GFX H.264/AVC 444 mode and hardware-accelerated encoding
are not supported in this version yet.
GFX implementation in xrdp is sponsored by an enterprise sponsor. @CyberTrust is
also one of the sponsors. We very much appreciate the sponsorship. It helped us
to accelerate xrdp development and land GFX earlier!
Please consider sponsoring or making a donation to the project if you like xrdp.
We accept financial contributions via Open Collective. Direct donations to each
developer via GitHub Sponsors are also welcomed.
Highlights
This section describes the most user-visible new or changed features in xrdp

xorgxrdp-0.10.1-1.el8 (FEDORA-EPEL-2024-bdcc1c789c)
Implementation of xrdp backend as Xorg modules
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Release notes for xrdp v0.10.0 (2024/05/10)
This section notes changes since the v0.10 branch was created.
General announcements
The biggest news of this release is that Graphic Pipeline Extension also called
GFX in short has been supported. xrdp v0.10 with GFX achieves more frame rates
and less bandwidth compared to v0.9. There is a significant performance
improvement especially if the client is Windows 11's mstsc.exe or Microsoft
Remote Desktop for Mac. GFX H.264/AVC 444 mode and hardware-accelerated encoding
are not supported in this version yet.
GFX implementation in xrdp is sponsored by an enterprise sponsor. @CyberTrust is
also one of the sponsors. We very much appreciate the sponsorship. It helped us
to accelerate xrdp development and land GFX earlier!
Please consider sponsoring or making a donation to the project if you like xrdp.
We accept financial contributions via Open Collective. Direct donations to each
developer via GitHub Sponsors are also welcomed.

Hello EPEL Team,
I am trying to find out how to contact the maintainer of the Oracle Linux
EPEL repository.
The only website I found about EPEL and Contact is
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/FAQ#contact
My current issue is that I use the Oracle Linux 8 EPEL package "cacti" -
and there is a security issue that is solved in cacti Version 1.2.27
(2024-05-12).
This version is available in the Fedora/RHEL Epel
https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/cacti/cacti/ since 2024-05-21 (9
days after release)
but not in the Oracle Linux EPEL:
https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL8/developer/EPEL/x86_64/index.html
Here the latest available Version is 1.2.23 (2023-01-13) which is about 19
months old.
I want to know if there are plans to update the cacti version in the Oracle
EPEL repo and if yes what is the planned timeline to do so.
Best regards,
Peter Soppe

A library for working with sets of tasks in parallel
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Bug fixes, portability enhancements, and small functionality enhancements
Fixed several generic warnings (thanks michel-slm!)
cpuRelax added for PowerPC and ARM (thanks barracuda156!)
Added missing header (thanks ryandesign!)
Try to detect and add libatomic when required (thanks for discussions
barracuda156!)
Enable small buffers from small buffer allocators to go down to 4 bytes (thanks
for discussion David Caruso!). This is handy for 32-bit builds where pointers
are typically 4 bytes
Ensure that NOMINMAX is propagated for CMake Windows builds (thanks
SeaOtocinclus!)
Fix some cases using std::make_shared for types requiring large alignment, which
is a bug prior to C++17 (thanks for help finding these SeaOtocinclus!)
Set up CI on GitHub Actions, including builds for Mac and Windows in addition to
Linux (thanks SeaOtocinclus!)
Add an envinronment variable DISPENSO_MAX_THREADS_PER_POOL to limit max number
of threads available to any thread pool. In the spirit of OMP_NUM_THREADS.
(thanks Yong-Chull Jang!)
Slight change of behavior w.r.t. use of maxThreads option in ForEachOptions and
ParForOptions to limit concurrency the same way in both blocking and non-
blocking for_each and parallel_for (thanks Arnie Yuan!)
Various fixes to enable CMake builds on various 32-bit platforms (thanks for
discussions barracuda156!)
