Sorry my netwrok troubled me too, I have been reconnected several

So I wanted to ask whether the fedora tour application is just an
interactive slideshow? or a complete app which is very similar to
gnome-shell where user can click on files and other icons to see how
they look like with an overlay.
No. It isn't a complete app. We want it to remain a simple interactive
slide show.
if we are creating a slideshow
it is really easy to do
all we need is some javascript and some images
about the pointers I can implement that
Ah! That's great :D
else if we want something similar to ubuntu tour
its a bit complicated than previous one
we need to layouts 1 for desktop view 2 for overlay view
javascript to show / hide overlay
javascript to arrange windows in overlay
javascript to search in overlay
some javascript to control the navigation pane
javascript to create windows when user clicks files or anyother
app
and some other extra things to make it look like desktop
as i see ubuntu tour has both these features
The above listed complications are basically why we're not going for a
complete app. Consider this: Fedora updates to a new release every 6
months, and fedora-tour will have to be updated in parallel. We have
various desktop environments that we'd like to take care of: gnome, kde,
xfce, lxde. A complete app for all of these will make it very very
difficult to work with, and updating every 6 months will be a mammoth
task.
I'd like to know which one we are trying to make.
and if it is the first option it is fairly simple
we need some set of images for navigation pane and some javascript
which respnds to them and a layout with some pointers and labels to
those pointers
Great! Can you break it down to implementation details Pahnin? We could
have another meeting where you could hand out tasks to the team folks,
and we could get started?
Thanks all, this is what I wanted to discuss yesterday. :)
It's good to see folks continuing the discussion on the list. :)
