Ankita Pareek | New contributor to Fedora
by Ankita Pareek
Hello Fedora Community!
I am Ankita Pareek, sophomore at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India.
I have been using Linux since 2 years and recently made a switch from Ubuntu to Fedora to expore this amazing distro.
I am deeply interested in software development and learning new techstacks and frameworks. I am skilled at python, C++, android development and web development. Though I don't have much knowledge about Operating systems, but recently I have been reading about kernel development and tried compiling my own linux kernel as well from scratch. I would love to explore the kernel side in Fedora as well as try hands at web development projects.
Open source has always fascinated me and I look forward to take my open source journey ahead with Fedora. I participated in open source programmes like Hactoberfest, several hackthons and also did some projects in python, Java and C++. I hope to contribute to Fedora for the upcoming round of Outreachy 2021 as well as GSoC 2021.
Regards
Ankita

Self Introduction: amanthakur
by AMAN THAKUR
Hi everyone,
My name is Aman Thakur, I live in India.
I’m a second-year CSE undergraduate at the Army Institute of Technology, Pune.
Presently I’m in the open-source community of my college and guiding the juniors of my
college gives immense pleasure when you helping them to learn about git and GitHub.
I am fond of open-source software. I like the concept of Open Source how we can work not
just for improving the software as per our needs but also helping others by contributing
to the project.
I have taken part in a few of the open-source programs such as Hactoberfest2020 and also
contributed to an organization named serverless during the last semester of my college.
My first encounter with Fedora was my first CS practical session which was being conducted
in Linux Distro named Fedora and I was fascinated by the UI experience and get found of
this Distro.
My interest lies in programming and learning what's new in the field of technology can
be said like a tech geek. I am consistent with my work and completes work in time. My
interest draws me towards the Linux from windows initially it hurts to come out of my
comfort zone but later I enjoyed it a lot.
I acquire these skills in python3 and c++ programming languages and get started with web
development and came across libraries such as Flask, get to learned frontend library such
as react.
What draws me to this organization is #Web Developer or Administrator as it coincides with
the skill I possess and get to learn more while being with your organization will
also going to brush up my skills and pose a challenge to what I learned.

New Contributor to Fedora
by Rachitt Shah
Hello Fedora Community! I'm Rachitt Shah, and I reside in India. I made the
switch to Linux about a year ago,and I love to explore new distros. I run
Fedora Workstation as my main OS,and I'm trying to build my own kernel from
scratch as well. I was really impressed by the breath of the organization
and the huge amount of SIGs for almost each topic. I have been a
contributor at KDE for their Season of KDE 2021 under the Calamares
installer where I contribute to the docs, and I have tried to help new open
sourcers via Script Winter of Code(http://swoc.tech/) where I help
new-comers to pair with Open Source projects. I am the head of
documentation at Canvasbird(https://canvasboard.live/home). I am currently
exploring the Fedora ecosystem, and I hope to contribute to Fedora for GSoC
and beyond.
